Library update

Last weekend I attended the AAIM conference (Arkansas Association of Instructional Media) where I learned of an inexpensive operating system for our library!  An instructor at Arkansas Tech found this system when searching for a program for her own church library.  The price is $1/day, or $365.00/year, which is an extreme bargain compared to the systems most school libraries use!  This includes web hosting, (which means you can search the library catalog from home or any internet location) and technical support, which alone can be $500.00/year.  I am looking forward to getting the library cataloged this summer.   I certainly welcome some help.  We will not have a scanner for checking books in and out, but otherwise we'll be an organized, modern library.

After doing some spring cleaning at home, I added several books and magazines to the church library, mainly on children's ministry.  I have to admit that I haven't read all the books, but I thought they might be helpful to the Sunday morning or Sunday night leaders.  Since I have transitioned to the college ministry, I wanted to make these available to anyone who might be interested. There is a list posted on the library window of new books and magazines.
